PSU's FACULTY RESEARCHERS PRODUCE SCOPUS PUBLICATIONS

16 February, 2021

Faculty researchers from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) graced the university anew in the latter’s aggressive research and development thrusts. Two research papers authored by faculty researchers in the college were published at the Solid State Technology, a Scopus-indexed journal.

One of the papers, entitled “A Framework for Applying Semantic Web in the Design and Development of Web Portals for Agricultural Crops: The Pili (Canarium ovatum Engl.) Case” by Leo Constantine S. Bello, Dr. Ronnel R. Atole, Salvador V. Briones, II, Rowell John B. Artiaga, John Rey S. Lirag, Aldwin R. Seboguero, is an output of the PILI NICER program funded by the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) under which one component project has been awarded to the university.

The other paper authored by Garry P. Dacillo and Dr. Atole is entitled “Braided Ribbon Group-based Asymmetric Public Key Cryptography.” The paper’s underlying study looks into the potential of braided ribbon groups as platform groups in noncommutative algebraic public-key cryptosystems. Mainly, it explicitly defines a trapdoor function, key agreement scheme, and public-key cryptography using a braided ribbon group based on the version of its generalized conjugacy search problem.

Both publications can be accessed through the journal’s Issue Vol. 63 No.2s 2020.
